HARAKKA At the end of July an international group of 40 enthusiastic jewellery and metal artists will gather for the Weather Vane Seminar on the nature preserve af Harakka Island, in the heart of the city of Helsinki. The island has proved to be an excellent site for people from all over the world, to be a part of nature while working together with fresh ideas, inspired by the sea an the wind, the forces of nature. And the seminar leader, metal artist Matti Mattsson, once one of the rare inhabitants of this island, has always made the seminars work in an unforgettable way.
Jewellery- and metal artists, teacher and students from 12 different countries have the rare opportunity to experience the Finnish anchipelago in the very centre of Helsinki. In a few minutes a ferry will take the participants over to the island ond the five-day journey can begin. Five days and nights of enjoyable creation in the open air, in an environment hard to describe but unique to spend time in, work, live and share the good abundant energies of the island. Welcome! |
