Keijut (Fairies) I-IV
bedtime stories from Ireland
Anne Pihtakuusi (Ann Fir tree) goes to Ireland to find out about fairies and she writes letters to her beloved from there. She tells about the landscapes she encounters and about three men, which she imagined into those landscapes, and especially those strange fairy stories that they tell her.
The radio play in for parts has been compiled, written and retold in Finnish for the Radio Theatre by Annette Arlander. The main parts are played by Katja Kiuru as Anne Pihtakuusi (Ann Fir tree), Taisto Oksanen as Samuli Vaahtera (Samuel Sycomore), Jarmo Mäkinen as Janne Pihlaja (Seamus Rowan) and Jari Hietanen as Ville B. Valkopyökki (William B. Whitepoplar).
Pirjo Jyrälä is responsible for the technical realization, with Mauri Päivistö as assistant. The producer is Mauri Ahola.
Fairies I-IV will be broadcasted in the series 'Radio theatre after ten o'clock' on Tuesdays 4.7., 11.7., 18.7. and 25.7. 2000 klo 22.10..
